The countdown is on for Windows SBS 2003!

Microsoft Small Business Server (SBS 2003) is headed out to pasture soon! For more than 2 years now we’ve known this day was coming, but it’s finally almost here. As of July, Windows SBS 2003 will be “end-of-life” from Microsoft. For those of you that remember XP reaching this point in April of 2014 the end result is much the same. No more bug fixes or security patches, and support, if made available from Microsoft, will be exceedingly expensive. Unfortunately Microsoft ended the Small Business Server line with 2011, which ceased being sold in late 2013. But not to worry, there are options (and plenty of them) out there. Depending on your organization’s needs there are choices ranging from migrating to the cloud, to Windows Server Essentials 2012, and even moving to a Mac server. But as always for Carmichael there is not a “one size fits all” solution. Schedule an appointment with us today and we’ll send one of our trained and expert consultants out to review your business needs and provide a custom tailored proposal to get you to the absolute best answer for your organization.
